What we collect, and why.
Plain-language privacy policy for ernstmedia.com. Last updated September 2026.
Who we are
Ernst Media, 12402 N. Division St. PMB 185, Spokane, WA 99218. Questions about this policy go to hello@ernstmedia.com or (509) 903-9414.
What we collect
- What you send us. When you use the contact form or the audit request form we collect your name, email address, the monthly ad spend range you choose, the platform you pick, and anything you write in the message. When you book a call through Calendly we receive the name, email address, and answers you give Calendly.
- How you found us. On your first visit the site stores a first-party cookie for 90 days with the marketing channel, the page you landed on, the referring site, and any campaign parameters or click IDs in the address (for example UTM values or a Google Ads click ID). It is updated on later visits. This is attached to your form submission or booking so we know which of our own marketing brought you here. It does not contain your name or contact details.
- Usage data. Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and the key actions listed below. Vercel, our hosting provider, records standard server logs and anonymous performance measurements.
How we use it
- To reply to you. Every message and booking is read by a person at Ernst Media.
- To keep a record of the conversation in our customer relationship system so the same person can follow up.
- To understand which marketing brings us clients and which pages need work. We report on this in aggregate.
- To keep automated spam off the site.
We do not sell personal information, run a newsletter, or add you to a drip campaign. We never share your details with advertisers.
Who processes it for us
- Attio stores the details you submit and our notes about the conversation. It is our customer relationship system.
- Calendly handles call bookings and the calendar invite.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form submission comes from a person, not a script. It may set a short-lived cookie and collects limited device and network information for that purpose.
- Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, measures site usage. We record these key events: contact form submitted, audit form submitted, call booked, phone number tapped, email address tapped.
- Slack receives a notification with your name, company, message, and how you found us so the team sees new messages quickly.
- Resend sends the email copy of a submission to us if the customer relationship system is unavailable.
- Vercel hosts the site and processes the request logs and performance data every website generates.
Cookies
We use one first-party cookie of our own, em_attr, for marketing attribution as described above, plus the cookies Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Calendly, and Cloudflare Turnstile set to do their jobs. The site works without cookies; blocking them in your browser only means we cannot tell which marketing brought you here.
How long we keep it
Messages and bookings stay in our customer relationship system while we are talking to you and for as long as we might reasonably work together afterwards. Ask us at any time and we will delete your record. Analytics data is kept for the default period Google Analytics allows, currently 14 months.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@ernstmedia.com. We reply within a few business days. You can also decline analytics by using your browser's tracking protection or an extension that blocks Google Analytics.
Children
This site is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we update the date at the top of the page. Substantive changes are noted here for at least 30 days.
